Guest Blog – Julie Muennich: Wine, Women, and Shoes

Wine Women & Shoes looked very different for me this year. I have volunteered since the beginning but this year I had the honor of leading it. I love being involved because WW&S is the biggest fundraiser for Family Scholar House and the money raised allows Family Scholar House to invest in the most important ways they see fit. The mission of FSH is something I believe in to my core and it truly changes lives and our community. I also love the fact that we have over 350 strong, accomplished, and philanthropic women in one place having a great time. It is the ultimate girls’ night out and we all need those every now and then!

With your help, we were able to raise just under $500,000. All of the funds raised will help Family Scholar House transform the community by empowering families and youth to succeed in education and achieve life-long self-sufficiency. This year’s King of Sole is Larry Muennich. He raised over $5,000 for Family Scholar House in a friendly competition against the other Shoe Guys. The Key to the Vault raffle winner is Alice Baron. She won a luxurious shopping spree to Merkley Kendrick. The Cafe Dream Suite Kitchen Raffle winner is Brooke Sloan. Brooke won a curated kitchen from GE Appliances.
