Tabitha Gains Traction

As a single mom of three boys, Tabitha once wondered if her dream of becoming a nurse was out of reach. Thanks to Family Scholar House, it isn’t. Family Scholar House provided resources she didn’t even realize she needed, from school supplies to financial literacy workshops and emotional support. And when our new campus adjacent to Ivy Tech Community College opens later this year, Tabitha and her sons will have a place to stay within walking distance of her classes.

“They welcomed me in and made me feel that I was a part of an actual family. They’ve truly offered me support I didn’t know I needed, and now that I have it, it feels amazing.” With her RN in sight and a path to her BSN ahead, Tabitha is not only building a brighter future for herself but also shaping the lives of her three sons.
