The Power of Good Conversation

The power of good conversation really comes to light at a Speed Mentoring.

This month, we were fortunate enough to have top-notch professionals from all over the city come for a Speed Mentoring event— FSH’s take on professional networking, set up like speed dating. Some of the professionals who came to speak with our participants included the mayor of Louisville, the CEO of the Humana Foundation, and graduates of the Family Scholar House program.

The participants and professionals gathered in our lovely art therapy room at the Riverport Scholar House. Before the moderator could even announce the first starter-question, the room was full of lively conversation. It remained loud throughout the entire hour of networking.

As the event wrapped up and everyone started to say their goodbyes, the positive feedback began rolling in. The professionals couldn’t believe how prepared and well-equipped our participants were, and the participants were raving about how much they learned from the experience.
